What is it made of?
Felix is made from solid brass, a warm alloy of copper and zinc.
Brass Care
Brass gradually develops a darker patina. Keep this aged finish or clean it to restore its shine. Regular wear helps polish the surface.
Cleaning methods:
- Lemon and salt: rub the brass with a salted lemon half for 30–60 seconds. Rinse with warm water and dry straight away.
- White vinegar and salt: add one teaspoon of salt to vinegar. Soak for 15–30 minutes, rinse thoroughly and dry straight away.
- Baking soda and lemon: mix into a paste, then use a soft cloth or old toothbrush to clean engraved details gently. Rinse and dry straight away.
Don't soak mixed-metal pieces.
Avoid: chlorine, pools, seawater, perfume, harsh soaps, chemical cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners, bleach and toothpaste. Remove jewellery before swimming or applying skin products.
Storage: use a dry cloth pouch or airtight bag. Keep away from bathrooms, humidity and prolonged direct sunlight. Store separately to avoid scratches.
Green marks: brass can leave a faint green mark when it reacts with skin and sweat. It is harmless and washes off with soap and water.
